Delta exposure

DEX indicator for TradingView

Delta exposure answers a different question than gamma. The extension draws the DEX flip on its own layer, beside price and the GEX levels.

What it adds

Compare delta positioning with price

Delta exposure, or DEX, estimates the aggregate option delta across the modeled book. The DEX flip is the level where that net exposure changes sign. It sits on the chart as a line of its own, so you can see where it agrees with the gamma picture and where it does not.

The DEX flip

The level where net delta exposure changes sign, drawn as a line beside the GEX walls.

Its own switch

Turn the DEX flip on or off without removing the other layers.

Futures levels

With futures levels on, the DEX flip of SPX, NDX, RUT and DJX maps onto their futures contracts too.

How it works

Three steps

  1. Open the chart

Pick a ticker. The extension follows the active symbol.

  2. Turn on the DEX flip

Add the layer and keep the others off until you need them.

  3. Compare the structures

Check where the DEX flip agrees with the gamma flip and where it differs.

Know the limit

DEX is a modeled exposure measure. A flip is research context, never a promise that price reacts there.
