Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 15, 2026
1. Introduction
QuantWheel, Inc. ("QuantWheel", "we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy describes what personal information we collect, how we use and share it, your rights regarding your information, and how to contact us.
This Privacy Policy applies to your use of the QuantWheel website at quantwheel.com and all related services, applications, and tools (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
This Privacy Policy should be read together with our Terms of Service at quantwheel.com/tos, including the broker data and outreach license in Section 7 of the Terms.
2. Who We Are and How to Contact Us
QuantWheel, Inc. is the data controller responsible for the personal information processed under this Privacy Policy.
- Email: hello@quantwheel.com
- Website: quantwheel.com
If you have any questions, requests, or complaints about how we handle your personal information, please contact us at hello@quantwheel.com.
3. Information We Collect
We collect personal information in three ways: information you provide directly, information we collect automatically, and information we receive from third parties.
3.1 Information You Provide to Us
- Account information: Email address, first and last name, password (stored hashed), and optional profile details such as your country, Discord user ID, or profile photo.
- Billing information: When you subscribe to a paid plan, our payment processor Stripe collects and processes your payment card details, billing address, and transaction history. QuantWheel does not store your full payment card number. We store only the information Stripe returns to us (last four digits of the card, card brand, expiration date, customer ID, and subscription status).
- Communications: Emails you send us, support tickets, survey responses, and feedback you submit.
- User-generated content: Watchlists, custom workspaces, journal entries, notes, alert configurations, and any other content you create within the Service.
- Acceptance records: Date, time, IP address, user agent, and version of any Terms of Service or Privacy Policy you accept, retained as evidence of your agreement.
3.2 Information We Collect Automatically
- Device and usage data: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device type, referring URLs, pages visited, links clicked, time spent on pages, and timestamps.
- Performance and error data: Crash logs, error messages, and performance metrics to help us diagnose issues.
- Authentication and security data: Login timestamps, login IP addresses, session identifiers, and failed login attempts.
3.3 Information from Brokerage and Third-Party Integrations
QuantWheel is software; it is not a broker, trading platform, exchange, or order router (see Section 2 of our Terms of Service). When you connect a brokerage account, the connection itself is operated by SnapTrade, a third-party API service. Access is read-only.
- From SnapTrade and your connected brokerage: account positions, account balances, open and historical orders, executed trades, and other portfolio data necessary to provide the Service. We receive this data through SnapTrade's API. We do not receive or store your brokerage login credentials.
- From Discord (if you authenticate via Discord): Discord user ID, username, and avatar.
- From market-data providers: Real-time and historical options chains, equity prices, fundamentals, and related market data. This data is not personal to you; it is used to power the Service.
3.4 Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to operate the Service, remember your preferences, keep you logged in, and analyze usage. Categories of cookies we use:
- Strictly necessary: Authentication, session management, security. Cannot be disabled.
- Functional: Remember your theme, watchlists, dashboard layout, and other preferences.
- Analytics: Help us understand how the Service is used so we can improve it.
- Marketing: Enable us to measure the effectiveness of our advertising on platforms such as Meta (Facebook) and to retarget visitors. The Meta Pixel is loaded on our site for this purpose.
You can control cookies through your browser settings, but disabling them may impair functionality of the Service.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use your personal information for the following purposes:
4.1 To Provide the Service
Create and maintain your account, authenticate you, deliver features you have requested, synchronize broker data, generate alerts, and operate copy trading.
4.2 To Process Payments
Charge your payment method, process renewals, issue refunds, and manage subscriptions through Stripe.
4.3 To Analyze Trading Performance and Provide Outreach
In accordance with the broker data and outreach license you grant in Section 7 of our Terms of Service, we use the trade and portfolio data accessed through your connected brokerage account to:
- Analyze your trading performance on the platform, including realized and unrealized profit and loss, win rate, average premium captured, frequency of assignment, holding periods, and related metrics. The analysis is performed internally and is visible to you within the Service.
- Rank users internally by performance to identify high-performing and underperforming traders. These internal rankings are not public.
- Contact you by email or in-app message about your trading activity. This may include offering collaboration, ambassador, partnership, or revenue-share opportunities if your performance is exceptional, or offering education, coaching, or alternative product fits if you appear to be struggling. You can opt out of these messages at any time using the unsubscribe link in the message or by emailing hello@quantwheel.com.
- Display your performance publicly only if you opt in. Public leaderboards, public copy-trading profiles, and any other surface where your name, handle, or performance metrics are visible to other users require your explicit opt-in through your account settings. You can revoke that opt-in at any time and the public surface will be hidden.
4.4 To Generate Aggregated and De-Identified Data
We may aggregate, anonymize, or de-identify data collected from many users to produce platform-wide statistics, market-trend reports, marketing materials, and product-research insights (for example, "X% of QuantWheel users sold cash-secured puts on NVDA last week"). Aggregated and de-identified data is not personal to you. QuantWheel may use aggregated, anonymized, or de-identified platform usage and market activity data for analytics, research, product improvement, benchmarking, and marketing purposes.
4.5 To Communicate With You
Send transactional emails (receipts, renewal notices, trial reminders, security alerts), respond to support requests, and notify you of material changes to the Service or these policies.
4.6 To Send Marketing Communications
Only if you have consented or where otherwise permitted by law: product updates, educational content, promotions, and event invitations. You can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link in our emails.
4.7 To Improve the Service
Analyze usage, debug, develop new features, and conduct internal research.
4.8 To Prevent Fraud and Abuse
Detect and investigate suspicious activity, enforce our Terms, defend against chargeback fraud, and respond to security incidents.
4.9 To Comply With Legal Obligations
Tax, accounting, financial recordkeeping, regulatory requests, court orders, and law-enforcement requests.
5. Legal Bases for Processing (EEA / UK Users)
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on the following legal bases to process your personal information:
- Performance of a contract — to provide the Service you have subscribed to, including the trading-performance analysis and outreach described in Section 4.3.
- Legitimate interests — to operate and improve the Service, prevent fraud, secure our systems, generate aggregated insights, and conduct direct marketing where permitted.
- Consent — for cookies that are not strictly necessary, for marketing communications, for public visibility on leaderboards and copy-trading profiles, and where else required.
- Legal obligation — to comply with applicable law.
You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before the withdrawal.
6. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not sell your broker data. We share information only as described below.
6.1 Service Providers
We share information with third-party vendors that operate parts of our Service on our behalf, under contract and with confidentiality obligations:
- Stripe — payment processing, subscription management, fraud detection. Stripe's privacy policy: stripe.com/privacy.
- SnapTrade — read-only brokerage account connections. SnapTrade's privacy policy: snaptrade.com/privacy.
- Cloud hosting and infrastructure providers — to host the Service, store data, and deliver content.
- Email and notification providers — to send transactional and marketing emails.
- Analytics providers (product analytics, error monitoring) — to help us understand usage and fix issues.
- Advertising platforms (e.g., Meta) — to measure ad effectiveness and run retargeting campaigns. We share only the hashed or pseudonymized identifiers needed for these purposes.
6.2 Public Profiles and Leaderboards (Opt-In Only)
If you have opted in to public visibility (public copy-trading profile, public leaderboard, ambassador feature, or similar), the specific information you have made public — typically including your display name or handle, profile photo, selected trades, and performance metrics — will be visible to other QuantWheel users and may be visible to the public Internet. You control what is public through your profile settings and can revoke opt-in at any time. Information made public during the opt-in period may persist in caches, screenshots, or third-party copies outside our control.
6.3 Legal and Safety
We may disclose your personal information when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to:
- Comply with a subpoena, court order, or other legal process
- Respond to a lawful request from a public authority
- Protect our rights, property, or safety, or that of our users or the public
- Investigate or prevent fraud, abuse, or violations of our Terms
6.4 Business Transfers
If QuantWheel is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such transfer that materially affects how your information is handled.
7. International Data Transfers
QuantWheel is based in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States and in other countries where our service providers operate. We use appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) when transferring personal information out of the EEA, UK, or other jurisdictions that require them.
8. Data Retention
We retain personal information only as long as necessary to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
- Account information: Retained while your account is active and for up to thirty-six (36) months after you delete your account, then deleted or anonymized, subject to any longer retention required by law.
- Billing records (invoices, charges, refunds): Retained for at least seven (7) years for tax, accounting, and audit compliance.
- Terms and Privacy acceptance logs: Retained for at least seven (7) years to demonstrate compliance and defend against disputes.
- Communications (support emails, tickets, feedback): Retained for up to five (5) years from the last interaction.
- Trade and portfolio data accessed via broker integrations: Retained while your broker is connected and for up to thirty-six (36) months after disconnection or account deletion, to support journaling history, performance review, and dispute resolution. When you delete your account, we delete your trading data in accordance with this retention schedule.
- Aggregated and de-identified data: May be retained indefinitely because it is no longer personal to you.
- Backups: May persist in backup systems for up to ninety (90) days after deletion from primary systems.
9. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest for sensitive fields, hashed password storage, access controls, audit logging, and regular security reviews. We treat broker-sourced trade and portfolio data as sensitive and apply the same controls to keep it secure and access-controlled.
However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially reasonable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. If we become aware of a personal data breach that is likely to result in a risk to your rights, we will notify you and any required authority as required by applicable law.
10. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you have some or all of the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Deletion — ask us to delete your personal information, subject to legal exceptions.
- Restriction or objection — ask us to restrict or stop certain processing, including direct marketing and outreach.
- Portability — receive certain information in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent, withdraw it at any time. This includes revoking opt-in to public leaderboards or copy-trading profiles.
- Opt out of "sale" or "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising (California and similar jurisdictions) — we do not sell personal information for money, but our use of advertising cookies may be considered "sharing" under the California Consumer Privacy Act. You can opt out by contacting hello@quantwheel.com.
- Lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority. In the UK, this is the ICO; in the EU, your national supervisory authority.
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@quantwheel.com from the email address on your account. We will respond within thirty (30) days, or longer where permitted by law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
11. Financial Information Disclaimer
QuantWheel is software — not a broker, broker-dealer, trading platform, exchange, order router, money transmitter, or financial advisor (see Section 2 of our Terms of Service). We receive your portfolio and trade data only through SnapTrade or other authorized integrations you connect, and only for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy and in our Terms of Service. We do not have custody of your funds or securities, we do not store your brokerage login credentials, and we do not store complete payment card numbers.
12. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you are a parent or guardian and you believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at hello@quantwheel.com and we will delete it.
13. Third-Party Links
The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not owned or controlled by QuantWheel. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites or services. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of every third-party site you visit.
14. Do Not Track
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" signal. We currently do not respond to Do Not Track signals because no industry standard for doing so has been finalized. You can control tracking by other means described in the Cookies section above.
15. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date, and where required by law, by email or in-app notice at least thirty (30) days before the change takes effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of the updated policy constitutes your acceptance of it.
